It’s time to pop the champagne, as a RightsInfo project has been shortlisted for an award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Our two-minute explainer on human rights, kindly funded by the Legal Education Foundation, was included in the Official Selection of the competition.

Commissioned by RightsInfo and produced by Cub Studios in London, the piece beat thousands of other films from more than 90 countries for a place on the prestigious list. Produced in June 2016, it’s since racked up more than 500,000 views..

We’ll have to wait until the festival opens in June to discover if we’ve won, but in the meantime you can curb your excitement by watching the animation again. After all, there’s never been a better time to get informed about human rights.
